ACTIVITY 02
Drag the dots on the velocity graph. Position and acceleration redraw instantly — and the motion cart follows exactly what the graphs predict. Velocity is the slope of position; acceleration is the slope of velocity.
s vs t · metres
v vs t · m/s
a vs t · m/s²
Position is where the car is. Its slope at any moment is the velocity. The velocity graph's slope is the acceleration. Viewed in reverse, acceleration describes how quickly velocity changes, while the signed area under velocity gives displacement. Total distance is the area under speed, |v|. Drag a point to observe how the three graphs remain synchronized.
Explain what your motion graphs show, then submit your results or download a solution image for your records.
